Ultimate Frisbee is a great way to workout! No longer is frisbee just a sport on the beach. The B.A.S.L. ultimate experience will get your heart pumping and your blood flowing! This league is open to new players and those who are seasoned veterans looking for some great exercise and fun. Tiered clibre levels are applied in all leagues to ensure that teams compete against similar calibre teams. Registration forms can be downloaded by clicking one of the following two links.

FORMAT & CALIBRE: Team or individual entries are accepted for our adult mixed summer and fall outdoor Ultimate Frisbee leagues. Individual entries only are accepted for our fall and winter indoor Ultimate Frisbee league. All registrants must be 19 years of age or older. Individual applicants are assigned to teams by the league executive however group requests to play together will be accommodated. For outdoor play, division levels will be created based on standing results after the first few weeks of play. From there the top two teams will move up a division and the bottom two teams will move down a divison at the end of regularly scheduled intervals throughout the season. Standings will be tracked and posted weekly on our website at www.basl.ca. All games are self-refereed.
GAME SCHEDULE & GAME TIMES - SUMMER LEAGUES: Our summer Ultimate Frisbee Leagues will play one regular season game per week for 14 weeks in each of our Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday leagues. All games will be played in Burlington Parks and game time is from 7:00pm to 8:30pm each week. Our fall outdoor programs run on Sundays from 2:00pm to 3:30pm for 8 weeks starting in September. Our fall and winter indoor programs are held on Sunday evenings starting in October and Janaury.
TEAM REGISTRATION COST - SUMMER & FALL OUTDOOR PROGRAMS: Team registration fees for the 2012 outdoor season are $575 (Plus HST)/Team for the SUMMER and $360 (Plus HST)/Team for the FALL sessions. HST (13%) is extra and must be added when paying by cheque, cash or email money transfer. HST is automatically added to on-line credit card payments. INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION COSTS - INDOOR & OUTDOOR PROGRAMS: Individual registration fees for the 2012 outdoor season are $75 (Plus HST)/Player for the SUMMER and $55 (Plus HST)/Player for the FALL sessions. HST is automatically added to on-line credit card payments. Individuals are placed onto league assembled teams consisting of no more than 18 players, (14 minimum) for the summer and fall outdoor leagues. Individuals are placed onto league assembled teams consisting of no more than 14 players for the fall and winter indoor programs. Group requests to play together are accommodated as best possible in all B.A.S.L. Ultimate Frisbee leagues. HOW TO REGISTER: Use our online credit card payment option for immediate placement. You can find our PayPal payment buttons on our PROGRAM DETAILS page or by clicking the Programs: Register Now! button above. Then download and complete either the Individual or the Team Registration Form, sign it and mail it to the address on the form. Completed registration forms are due by the start of each season. If paying by cheque please include a contact name and team name or completed team or individual registration form. Only current dated cheques are accepted and must be payable to B.A.S.L. Please ensure that HST (13%) is added to your payment. Your cancelled cheque is your confirmation and receipt. A $25 fee will apply to all NSF cheques. Registrations received with partial payments will be held on our waiting list until full payment is received. Alternate payment options such as cash or email money transfers are also available. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: All team and individual registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis upon receipt of full payment until all league spots are filled, therefore the deadline for registration is upon all spaces being filled. In order to be fair to all applicants, spots cannot be held without full payment. Please include a contact name and team name or completed individual or team registration form with your payment. Completed team registration forms must be submitted by the start of each season.
INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS/PLAYING EQUIPMENT: Team and individual registration fees include all games for the scheduled period and playing facilities. Website standings, schedules and periodic updates are also available. PLAYING EQUIPMENT is the responsibility of each team and ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE ONE REGULATION FRISBEE, FIRST AID KIT & FOUR PYLONS AT EVERY GAME. If required, equipment kits may be purchased for $65 (plus HST). Equipment kit orders must be placed with basl@sympatico.ca by April 30th. Team sponsorship and team jerseys are also the responsibility of each team.
ROSTER SIZE: All summer teams must have a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 18 players on their roster at all times. PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of three females are required on the field during play, therefore care should be exercised when deciding on the minimum number of males & females that make up your team roster. Individuals are assigned to scramble teams that are assembled by the league executive. These teams will consist of 18 players. A minimum of 7 females will be included on league assembled teams.
MID-SEASON ENTRIES: Players added to team rosters after opening day MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED WITH B.A.S.L. & MUST SIGN & SUBMIT THE B.A.S.L. ACTIVITY WAIVER FORM. Individuals added to league assembled teams after opening day must also be registered and are required to pay a pro-rated registration fee. To pre-register players after opening day, simply resubmit another copy of the team or individual registration form to the B.A.S.L. address on the form. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS TERM WILL RESULT IN A GAME LOSS FOR EACH GAME PLAYED WITH A NON-REGISTERED PLAYER.
CANCELLATION POLICY: A $75 cancellation fee will apply to all teams that cancel prior to one week before the first game. A $25 cancellation fee will apply to all individuals that cancel prior to one week before the first game. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED TO TEAMS OR INDIVIDUALS EFFECTIVE ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE FIRST SCHEDULED GAME. A $25 fee will apply to all NSF cheques.
LEAGUE RULES & REGULATIONS: Standard Ultimate Frisbee rules will be used for this league. All games are self refereed. Ultimate rules and regulations are available for review on our website under League Rules & Regulations.
